CLINIC INFORMATION
Strength and Agility
Rotational Power: The core is the engine of all rotational movements in baseball. Incorporate exercises like medicine ball rotational throws, cable rotations, and wood chops. These movements specifically train the obliques and core to generate and transfer force efficiently from the ground up, directly improving bat speed and throwing velocity.
Arm Care and Scapular Stability:
To prevent common shoulder and elbow injuries, a dedicated focus on the rotator cuff and scapular muscles is non-negotiable. Use resistance bands for exercises like internal and external rotations, T, Y, and W raises, and face pulls to stabilize the shoulder joint and build resilience.
Lower Body Strength:
Every baseball action, from sprinting to a base to driving off the mound, starts with the legs. Key exercises include Barbell Deadlifts and Front Squats to build foundational strength. Additionally, unilateral (single-leg) exercises like Bulgarian split squats and single-leg Romanian deadlifts are critical for mimicking the one-sided demands of the sport and improving hip stability.
