Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee's goal is to secure donations and sponsorships that help the league support families in need of financial aid, for field improvements/projects, indoor training time, and additional instruction/coaching for all teams in the league.

Members responsibilities include: 

• Planning, organizing, and carrying out fundraising activities such as raffles,
football pools, and restaurant partnership nights.

• Local business outreach to secure and recruit sponsors for the league.
Duties include reaching out, visiting, and communicating as a representative
of the Stamford Bombers to secure support for the league. 
 

Committee members develop, coordinate logistics, manage fundraising initiatives and track results to ensure fundraising goals are met. This committee works closely with organizational leadership to ensure all fundraising efforts are well-organized, transparent, and aligned with league priorities.

Fundraising Committee 
Chair

The Fundraising Committee Chair leads and coordinates the organization’s fundraising efforts to support its mission and programs. This role oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising initiatives, works closely with board members, staff, and volunteers, and helps build relationships with donors and community partners. The Chair sets fundraising goals, chairs committee meetings, and ensures activities align with the organization’s values, budget, and strategic priorities.(~2-3 Hours/week commitment)

Fundraising Committee Member supports the organization’s fundraising efforts by assisting with planning and implementing fundraising activities. This role participates in committee meetings, helps identify and engage donors and sponsors, supports events and campaigns, and promotes the organization’s mission within the community. Members collaborate with the Committee Chair, staff, and volunteers to help achieve fundraising goals.
(~1-2 Hours/week commitment)

Events Planning Committee

The Events Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating league-wide events that enhance the experience for players, families, and the community. This includes organizing Bombers Day, volunteer and charitable endeavors, and other special events throughout the season. Committee members handle event planning, scheduling, logistics, vendor coordination, and volunteer support to ensure events run smoothly. While events may indirectly support fundraising, the committee’s primary role is to ensure events are well-organized, inclusive, and aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.The committee works closely with organizational leadership and other committees to deliver memorable events that promote a positive league culture.

This role oversees event planning, coordinates committee members and volunteers, chairs committee meetings, and works with staff and partners on logistics, timelines, and resources. The Chair ensures events are well-organized, mission-aligned, and delivered on time and within budget.

An Events Committee Member supports the planning and execution of the organization’s events by assisting with logistics, coordination, and on-site support. This role participates in committee meetings, helps with event setup and breakdown, coordinates volunteers or vendors as needed, and contributes ideas to enhance the event experience. Members work collaboratively with the Events Committee Chair, staff, and volunteers to ensure events run smoothly and align with the organization’s mission.
